1psim: plans, prices and how the $1 number plan works

6 min read

1psim is a US prepaid mobile brand that runs on T-Mobile's network and sells real US phone numbers on a physical SIM or an eSIM. Plans start at $1 a month to hold a number, $3 a month for light talk, text and data, and $10 a month for 1GB. There's no contract, and the brand takes cards, PayPal, Alipay and crypto.

This guide covers what 1psim sells, what each plan costs, how to set it up, and the expiry rules that catch people out. Prices come from the plan list on the brand's own site on 29 October 2026 and exclude taxes and fees.

A quick disclosure: NoKYCsim isn't connected to this brand and doesn't sell phone numbers. Our travel eSIMs are data-only. We cover the service because many readers want a cheap US number to run alongside a data eSIM.

What is 1psim?

It's a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO): it owns no towers and resells access to T-Mobile's 5G and 4G LTE network, so US coverage matches T-Mobile's.

The pitch is pay-as-you-use pricing. Instead of a fixed monthly bundle, you pick a small allowance, or none at all, and pay only for that. The brand's FAQ describes its Paygo plan as built for “a low-cost, anonymous second line”.

  • Network. T-Mobile in the US, with Wi-Fi calling on every plan.
  • SIM types. A physical SIM by post, or an eSIM sent as a QR code by email. Most SIM kits cost $2.
  • What you share. Sign-up asks for an email address, and most US plans need a US ZIP code. The site's terms and FAQ don't mention an ID check.
  • Payment. Credit card, PayPal, Alipay and cryptocurrency.
  • Contracts and fees. No contract and no activation fee. Taxes and fees are added on top.
  • Your number. You can port an existing US number in, and the site says you can port out at any time.
  • Company. The site footer lists Mobivista Technologies Limited, with an address in Wilmington, Delaware.

1psim plans and prices

The cheapest way in is PayZero at $1 a month, which keeps a number alive with no minutes, texts or data. Paygo at $3 a month is the usual pick for a second line that receives codes and the odd call.

Prices exclude taxes, fees, the $2 SIM kit and shipping. Other options include Value plans from 400MB to 5GB ($10–$19 a month), bulk-SMS plans from $3.50 for 30 days, and China and Hong Kong data eSIMs.

One caveat: when we checked, some plan cards on the site showed $2.50 a month, which didn't match the plan list. Confirm the total at checkout.

Check before you buy

Before you order from 1psim, confirm your phone works on T-Mobile, choose between a SIM and an eSIM, and know the refund rules.

  • An unlocked, compatible phone. The service works with most unlocked GSM phones. A phone locked to another carrier won't take the SIM.
  • eSIM support, if you want it fast. Look for an Add eSIM option in your phone's mobile settings. A physical SIM takes 3 to 7 business days by post, according to the terms.
  • Dual SIM. Most recent iPhones and Android phones can run this line beside your main number.
  • A US ZIP code. Most US plans ask for one at checkout, even if you live abroad.
  • The refund window. A new physical SIM activation can be refunded within 3 calendar days of purchase. eSIMs and their plans bought on the site can't be refunded, and add-ons are non-refundable.

How to set up 1psim, step by step

Buy a plan, wait for the SIM or the eSIM email, then activate it from your account within 30 days.

  1. 1

    Pick a plan

PayZero or Paygo for a spare number, a Value plan for daily use.

  2. 2

    Create an account

Sign up with an email address and a password.

  3. 3

    Choose SIM or eSIM

A physical SIM arrives by post; an eSIM arrives as a QR code by email.

  4. 4

    Pay

Use a card, PayPal, Alipay or crypto at checkout.

  5. 5

    Activate within 30 days

Enter your activation code on the site's Activate page. A SIM left unactivated for 30 days expires, with no refund.

  6. 6

    Install the eSIM

Go to Settings, then Cellular or Mobile Data, then Add eSIM, and scan the QR code.

  7. 7

    Turn on Wi-Fi calling

Set your 911 address in your account so calls and texts work over Wi-Fi, including abroad.

  8. 8

    Set a renewal reminder

Plans renew every 30 days, and a failed payment can suspend the line.

Limits, risks and warning signs

The main risk is losing the number later, not the first activation. Small balances and long gaps between orders can end the line.

  • Pay-as-you-go credit expires. The terms say Pay As You Go credit lasts 90 days from your last Pay As You Go order. After that, service is disconnected.
  • Numbers can expire. A number with no active plan can be expired, with 7 days' notice by text or email.
  • Auto-renewal. Plans renew every 30 days, and service may be suspended if a payment fails twice.
  • “Unlimited” has limits. The brand's comparison page says Unlimited includes up to 40GB of high-speed data, then speeds drop to 128 kbps. Hotspot use is capped at 10GB.
  • SMS verification isn't guaranteed. The numbers are T-Mobile mobile lines, which most verification checks accept. Some apps still block prepaid or reseller numbers.
  • Several company names. The site footer, the page metadata and the Android app name three different companies. That's common for resellers, but keep your receipts.
  • Use rules. The terms ban unlawful, abusive or fraudulent use and allow suspension without notice.

The bottom line

1psim is worth a look if you want a real US mobile number for very little: $1 a month to keep it, or $3 a month to use it lightly. Keep the line funded, mind the 30-day activation and 90-day credit rules, and start with a one-month plan before paying for a year.

If you also need data abroad, a NoKYCsim travel eSIM can run beside that number on a dual-SIM phone, with no ID needed at checkout.
