Overland routes through South America cross borders constantly, and local SIMs usually need a passport and a fresh setup in each country. A South America eSIM keeps you on one plan, so maps, bus tickets and WhatsApp keep working on the other side of the border.
NoKYCsim checkout needs no ID upload and no account. The plan is data-only and covers the six countries in the bundle — check your route before you pay. Mexico and Central America aren't part of this plan; Mexico has its own.
- No passport or registration
- Hotspot / tethering included
- QR delivery in minutes
- One-off price, no renewal
Why travelers choose a South America eSIM without ID
One plan across borders
The bundle covers six South American countries with partner networks such as Movistar, Personal, TIM and WOM — no new SIM at each border.
No ID registration
Skip passport registration at phone shops. Our checkout asks for no ID upload and no account.
Built for overland travel
Long bus rides and border crossings are easier when your maps, tickets and messages keep working on the other side.
Pay in crypto or card
Pay with crypto by following the invoice at checkout, or use a card. One price, nothing renews.
South America eSIM coverage: which countries are included?
The bundle covers six South American countries and lists partner networks including Movistar, Personal, TIM and WOM. Coverage is good in capitals and large cities such as Buenos Aires and São Paulo, with 4G on the main routes.
Check the country list against your route before you pay: this plan doesn't cover Mexico or Central America, and six countries may not include every stop on a long trip. Expect little or no signal in Patagonia, on the Altiplano, in the Amazon and on remote stretches of the Andes.
How much data do you need in South America?
Maps, WhatsApp and bus apps are light; video calls and uploads aren't. Typical starting points:
| Trip | Typical use | Suggested plan |
|---|---|---|
| City break in one country | Maps, WhatsApp, ride-hailing | 1 GB · 7 days |
| Two weeks, two or three countries | Bus tickets, navigation, social posts | 3–5 GB · 15–30 days |
| A month backpacking | Music, video calls, frequent uploads | 10 GB · 30 days |
| Remote work on the road | Laptop hotspot, daily calls | 20 GB · 30 days |

How to set up your South America eSIM
- Step 1
Check your phone
Make sure your phone supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked. On iPhone look for Add eSIM in Settings → Mobile/Cellular; on Android look under Settings → Network → SIMs.
- Step 2
Buy and save your QR code
Choose a plan, pay with crypto or card, and pick email delivery or a secret order key. No account and no ID upload.
- Step 3
Install before you leave
Scan the QR code on Wi-Fi at home and label the line "Travel". Check the plan's activation rules before you install, and keep the line's data off until you arrive.
- Step 4
Switch on at your first stop
When you land, turn on the travel line, set it for mobile data and enable data roaming for that line so it can join partner networks. Leave it on as you cross into other included countries.
South America travel tips for staying connected
WhatsApp runs the continent
Hostels, tour operators and drivers across South America work through WhatsApp. Keep data on so bookings and pickup messages come through.
Download maps for Patagonia and the Andes
Long stretches of road and trail have no signal. Download offline maps and save bus tickets before you leave town.
Use your phone discreetly
Phone snatching happens in busy city centres and on buses. Keep your phone out of sight on the street and use a strong screen lock.
Add a country plan if needed
If a country on your route isn't in the bundle, add a single-country plan — such as our Brazil or Mexico plans — for that leg.
Keep your home SIM for codes
Leave your usual SIM on for bank texts but turn off its data roaming, so only your South America eSIM uses data.
