Buying a SIM in Italy means showing your passport and having a codice fiscale (tax code) generated in the shop — a process that can eat an hour of a short trip. An Italy eSIM is bought at home and ready when you land, whether you start in Rome, Milan, Venice or Naples.

NoKYCsim checkout needs no passport upload, no codice fiscale and no account. The plan is data-only, so your home number stays on your main SIM for calls and bank texts.

  • No passport or registration
  • Hotspot / tethering included
  • QR delivery in minutes
  • One-off price, no renewal

Why travelers choose an Italy eSIM without ID

Three Italian networks

Italy plans list TIM, Iliad and Wind (WindTre), so your phone can use another listed network if one is weak.

No codice fiscale

Local SIMs need a passport and an Italian tax code. Our checkout asks for neither, and no account.

Ready for the trains

Check Trenitalia and Italo departures from the arrivals hall and keep tickets on your phone from day one.

Pay in crypto or card

Pay with crypto by following the invoice at checkout, or use a card. One price, nothing renews.

Italy eSIM coverage: cities, coast and countryside

Coverage is strong in Rome, Milan, Florence, Venice, Naples and Bologna and along the main rail and motorway routes, with 5G in large cities. Our Italy plans currently list TIM, Iliad and Wind.

Thick stone walls in old town centres can weaken indoor signal — step near a window or outside if data slows. Coverage can be patchy in the Dolomites, on parts of the Amalfi Coast and the Cinque Terre trails, and in rural Tuscany and Sardinia, so download offline maps before hikes and drives.

How much data do you need in Italy?

Maps, train apps and messaging are light; posting videos from every piazza is not. Starting points:

How to set up your Italy eSIM

  1. Step 1

    Check your phone

Make sure your phone supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked. On iPhone look for Add eSIM in Settings → Mobile/Cellular; on Android look under Settings → Network → SIMs.

  2. Step 2

Buy and save your QR code

Choose a plan, pay with crypto or card, and pick email delivery or a secret order key. No account and no ID upload.

  3. Step 3

    Install before you leave

Scan the QR code on Wi-Fi at home and label the line "Travel". Check the plan's activation rules before you install, and keep the line's data off until you arrive.

  4. Step 4

    Switch on when you land

At Rome Fiumicino, Milan Malpensa or Venice Marco Polo, turn on the travel line and set it for mobile data. Enable data roaming for that line if the plan instructions say so, then check the Leonardo Express or your train into town.

Italy travel tips for staying connected

Check in digital train tickets

Paper regional tickets must be validated before boarding, and some digital tickets need a check-in in the app. Your Italy eSIM keeps e-tickets and train changes up to date.

Book big sights in advance

The Colosseum, the Vatican Museums and the Last Supper sell timed tickets that often sell out. Keep bookings on your phone.

Watch for ZTL zones when driving

Many historic centres are limited-traffic zones (ZTL) enforced by cameras. Use live navigation and check ZTL signs before driving into town.

Signal inside old buildings

Hotels in historic buildings can have weak indoor signal. Use the hotel Wi-Fi for big downloads and your eSIM when you're out.

Keep your home SIM for codes

Leave your usual SIM on for bank texts but turn off its data roaming, so only your Italy eSIM uses data.
