Mexico has introduced registration of local mobile lines to an identity record — a CURP for residents or a passport for foreigners — which adds a step to buying a SIM on arrival. A Mexico eSIM from NoKYCsim skips the store visit: you buy at home and install the eSIM before your flight.

Checkout needs no ID upload and no account, and email delivery is optional. The plan is data-only, so your home number stays on your main SIM for calls and bank texts.

  • No passport or registration
  • Hotspot / tethering included
  • QR delivery in minutes
  • One-off price, no renewal

Why travelers choose a Mexico eSIM without ID

Telcel and AT&T networks

Mexico plans list Telcel, the country's largest network, and AT&T Mexico, for coverage from the capital to the beaches.

No CURP or passport upload

Local lines must be linked to an identity record. Our checkout asks for no ID upload and no account.

Rides from arrivals

Book an Uber, DiDi or authorised airport taxi from Mexico City or Cancún without hunting for Wi-Fi.

Pay in crypto or card

Pay with crypto by following the invoice at checkout, or use a card. One price, nothing renews.

Mexico eSIM coverage: cities, beaches and the Yucatán

Coverage is strong in Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Cancún, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Puerto Vallarta, with 5G in the largest cities. Our Mexico plans currently list Telcel and AT&T.

Signal can drop on long highway stretches, in the Copper Canyon, deep in the Yucatán's cenote country and on parts of Baja California. Download offline maps before road trips and keep hotel and tour details saved on your phone.

How much data do you need in Mexico?

Maps, WhatsApp and ride-hailing are light; sharing cenote videos is not. Starting points:

How to set up your Mexico eSIM

  1. Step 1

    Check your phone

Make sure your phone supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked. On iPhone look for Add eSIM in Settings → Mobile/Cellular; on Android look under Settings → Network → SIMs.

  2. Step 2

Buy and save your QR code

Choose a plan, pay with crypto or card, and pick email delivery or a secret order key. No account and no ID upload.

  3. Step 3

    Install before you leave

Scan the QR code on Wi-Fi at home and label the line "Travel". Check the plan's activation rules before you install, and keep the line's data off until you arrive.

  4. Step 4

    Switch on when you land

At Mexico City (MEX), Cancún (CUN) or any Mexican airport, turn on the travel line and set it for mobile data. Enable data roaming for that line if the plan instructions say so, then book your ride before you reach the exit.

Mexico travel tips for staying connected

Use authorised taxis or apps at airports

At big airports, use official taxi counters or ride-hailing pickup points rather than drivers who approach you in arrivals.

WhatsApp is the default

Tour operators, hotels and restaurants in Mexico commonly use WhatsApp. Keep data on so confirmations reach you.

Download maps for road trips

Highways between cities and Yucatán back roads can lose signal. Download offline maps and fill up on fuel and water before long stretches.

Crossing back to the US?

A Mexico eSIM covers Mexico. For the US side of a border trip, add a USA plan.

Keep your home SIM for codes

Leave your usual SIM on for bank texts but turn off its data roaming, so only your Mexico eSIM uses data.
